The Skewes Family Foundation was started in 2004 by William G. Skewes, Sr. to provide charitable financial support to community development projects in the coalfields of Southern West Virginia and Southwest Virginia. Mr. Skewes was a coal mine operator in Southern West Virginia and was instrumental in the areas coal industry in the 1980’s. The Skewes Family Foundation has provided grants to community projects including; Animal Shelters, Schools, and Local sports clubs throughout Southern West Virginia and Southwest Virginia. 

We seek proposals from organizations working in a range of areas, including health, environment, arts, education, and human services. If your community organization needs help with funding, apply for a grant from the Skewes Family Foundation.
